Why ToneFit needs Full Access
ToneFit is designed to rewrite text directly from the keyboard flow, so Full Access may be required for that experience to work as intended.
This article is for you if
- The phrase “Full Access” feels unclear or risky.
- You want to know whether the permission is necessary for rewriting.
- You want to separate permission needs from storage policy questions.
Details
ToneFit is built around rewriting the sentence you are already typing, without forcing you to leave the current app. Because the keyboard needs to participate directly in that flow, iPhone setup may require the Full Access permission to support the rewriting experience.
It is also important to separate why a permission is needed from how data is handled over time. Full Access explains a permission requirement for functionality. Storage and retention questions should be checked against the latest product policy and privacy text.
Keep in mind
- Without the required permission, some rewriting behavior may not work correctly.
- Granting the permission does not automatically mean long-term storage of everything you type.
- For sensitive content, always review the latest in-app policy language as well.
